Maked McLune started her career in the entertainment industry which ignited her passions and involvement in the community. First working with Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell with Luke Records in films dealing with local governments issues, with black and brown communities, The Rock the Vote tour in Florida and addressing issues concerning racial profiling of black men. This opened up the door to political campaigns and advocacy. In addition
to Vote Influencers, Ms. McLune launched The McLune Group LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in strategy, community advocacy, fundraising trainings, and workforce development.
Additionally, Ms. McLune has advocated for health disparities within the African American and Caribbean communities speaking about her battle as a 2x breast cancer survivor. Other issues she is passionate about are pay inequality, wealth building legacy, advocating for small businesses and affordable housing. Currently, she serves as the President of The Miami-Dade Democratic Black Caucus, a chapter within the Democratic Black Caucus of Florida. Ms. McLune is a very proud Jamerican, member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and graduate of Florida International University with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Political Science.
